Amy Marie Turner is a Heartland Emmy nominated writer and editor who lives where the high desert is shadowed by the soaring peaks of the Sawatch Range, also known as Salida, Colorado. Amy’s academic background is in biology and anthropology, and she spent much of her professional career preparing proposals and managing projects for environmental consultants. She moved to freelance editing and writing in the halcyon days before the pandemic. Her first historical fiction novel, The Voyage of the Pleiades, was published by Fauve Press on June, 2023.  Amy is working on the sequel to her novel, as well as various creative projects that explore our sense of place and identity.
