A PhD molecular biologist turned editor, I help scientists publish their research by improving the quality of their writing. I have over 15 years of editing experience and have edited hundreds of manuscripts, many written by scientists whose first language is not English. I hold a BA in biology (University of California), a PhD in Experimental Pathology (University of Washington), a Certificate in Sustainable Building Advising (NASBP, now HeatSpring), a Certificate in Editing (University of Washington), and membership in the Northwest Editors Guild, the EFA, and ACES, the Society for Editing.

Your manuscript will benefit from the correction of grammatical mistakes and improved readability, concision, and logical flow. I can also suggest appropriate journals for your manuscript if you are not sure where to submit it, and edit the cover letter and responses to reviewers. I have experience with AMA, CSE, ACS, APA, and Chicago styles. I generally edit in Word, using Track Changes and comments to explain my editing suggestions and ask clarifying questions.
