Ariel Hansen
After working in journalism for a decade, as a writer and editor, I made the switch to freelance editing. I have a special interest in publications with a science bent (I even named my son after an astronomer), and am comfortable in a variety of styles for both fiction and nonfiction.
I have earned awards in science/environmental writing, arts/entertainment reporting, business reporting, and headline writing, and will bring that variety of expertise to your project. Currently, I’m studying for a master’s degree in science writing at Johns Hopkins University.
My personal passions include parenting, gardening, cooking, sewing and crafting, and science fiction and fantasy, but the daily deadlines of journalism taught me to be a “Jane of all trades,” and I can adapt quickly to any subject handed to me.
