Beth Wareham
I am a New York Times bestselling developmental editor and ghost writer specializing in non-fiction and memoir with a published list of books that include Temple Grandin’s Animals in Translation, Trisha Meili’s I Am the Central Park Jogger, and Broken: A Love Story.
Food, health, and lifestyle are passions and I edited the Joy of Cooking, Harold McGee’s On Food and Cooking, and two grilling books by Food Network star Bobby Flay, among others. I began the branding colossus know as “The Ultra” series with Dr. Mark Hyman and his “UltraWellness” books, a massive line, is still growing and thriving.
I was trained in publishing best practices in New York’s Big Five publishing houses and served as a lifestyle publisher at Simon & Schuster for over a decade. I left to form a start up digital publishing company and consult with more. I know the inside and outside of this business, fast and slow.
Working with authors and their creative vision is what gets me up in the morning; I love building a book’s structure and arc and then helping the author execute their work. I love to visualize how a book will live in the world, connecting it to readers still feels magical.
