Life-changing books?
Maybe that’s grandiose, but why aim for average when a book can outlast you?
James Clear thanked me in Atomic Habits (Penguin Random House / Avery) “for transforming my ugly and insanely long first drafts into a tight, readable manuscript.”
To James’s credit, it wasn’t ugly (but it was insanely long).
More recently, Jefferson Fisher (Penguin Random House / TarcherPerigree / Releasing 2025) said I was “above and beyond what I needed in a book coach. If you’re looking for someone to roll up their sleeves and be there with you, it’s Blake.”
And Dr. Ken Wilgus kindly said, “I could never have finished my first book without Blake’s heavy developmental editing help.
