Lilac Editing Services

I earned an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the New Hampshire Technical Institute, served in the US Army, then earned a Bachelor of General Science in Business Degree from the University of New Hampshire. I was an 18 year volunteer in a rural fire department in positions ranging from firefighter to chief while also serving for 8 years as an Emergency Medical Technician. I am the father of one outstanding young woman and an unworthy husband of another most patient and talented woman. I worked for over 40 years mostly in industry including manufacturing, sales and service and finally devoted 17 years to owning and operating an outdoor power equipment dealership selling and servicing lawn mowers, tractors, snow blowers, chain saws and related equipment. I have served on our city’s Economic Development Commission and now am aggressively retired. I am a lover of all the wrong foods, a political junkie and a thoughtful, impish, dedicated curmudgeon. Being that curmudgeon, I am constantly tempted to correct friends’ grammar, complain about poor writing on TV shows and I am apt to trip over punctuation errors wherever they reside. After hours of study I have earned certificates in both proofreading and line editing to support my editing aspirations on your behalf. I look forward to relying on this experience while polishing your project and maintaining your voice and style.
