New York Editing
Freelancer since 2014, available for developmental editing, copyediting, line editing, fact checking, proofreading, and transcribing. For four years, I was a regular copyeditor and proofreader for a prominent online editing service, mostly working on academic articles to be submitted to peer-reviewed journals, but also editing book chapters, dissertations, theses, and reports. I have extensive experience with Chicago, APA, Harvard, Vancouver, and MLA styles, and have adapted to the house styles of numerous journals. The subjects I have worked with are quite varied, covering the humanities, social sciences, business, and some science and technical fields. My private work has included copyediting books for SUNY Press, curriculum materials for Social Studies School Service, and a textbook on hotel management published by Higher Education Press in Beijing. In addition, I am the founder and editor of a journal of nonfiction about China, called Brush Talks, for which I do all the copyediting, fact checking, and proofreading.
