I have been on a wandering path in life. I have degrees in psychology and American Sign Language, I took part in the Disney College Program at Disney World, I was a home health aide for my niece for a while, I worked at a local animal shelter, and I am currently working in a quality lab for a manufacturing facility. I love learning new things, which is why it has been hard to stick with one type of job.

One constant during all of that has been my love for books. I’ve been reading since Pre-K, and I’m pretty sure I had more books than friends (and my mom swears she and my teacher never taught me how to read in the first place.) I volunteered at the local library for a few summers in high school and have tried my hand at writing my own books. People at work will send me presentations and reports for me to go through before they send them in. Words and books just come easily to me, and it finally hit me that I could make a career out of that.

In 2022, I completed the proofreading course through Knowadays and graduated with distinction, which meant I got the opportunity to work with Proofed. With Proofed, I have edited academic and business documents.

I also joined the Urban Writers in 2023, and I have mostly edited nonfiction books through there. Topics included psychology, nutrition, and gaming among others.

In the beginning of 2024, I started reaching out to authors directly as well, and that’s when I got to work on my first fiction book. I hope to continue working directly with clients and moving away from Proofed and The Urban Writers.
