LegalPro Editors
After obtaining my J.D. from Harvard Law and practicing for over 20 years, I became a full-time freelance editor. For the past few years my focus has been on books, including legal treatises and trade books for university presses. Recently I’ve expanded into subject areas that are tangentially related to the law, but focus on sociological, literary, and environmental issues. On the fiction side, I particularly welcome legal suspense, mystery, and other novels involving attorney characters or legal issues/procedure for which I do developmental as well as content/line editing. I also am extremely interested in the s.f./fantasy field as a life-long reader and fan as well as a copy editor.
Representative Publishers: Oxford University Press has been my principal client (well over 100 projects completed), but I’ve also edited for Cambridge University Press, Carina Press (subsidiary of Harlequin), Harvard University Press, Stanford University Press, W.W. Norton, and Yale University Press.
