I have freelanced and been employed as an editor for 26 years. My main focus as an employee was in the banking, legal, medical, and online education industries. As an editorial manager, I have shepherded many college and university courses through the twists and turns of the editorial process. My freelance projects have included technical manuals, self-help books, and historical fiction.
My childhood in Trinidad and Tobago and my early interest in anthropology exposed me to many different cultures and worldviews. A thirst for knowledge led me to develop diverse interests and specializations. My interests range from comparative religion to psychology to quantum physics. I am a voracious reader of cultural and historical literature, seeker of spiritual understanding, and investigator of alternative healing practices. Herbalism and aromatherapy, in particular, fascinate me.
As a lifelong hobbyist, I have gained expertise in gardening, crafting (particularly needlecraft), jewelry making, soapmaking, and the culinary arts. I must confess a minor addiction to science fiction and fantasy novels with some manga and graphic novels thrown in for good measure. My library is … packed to say the least.
I am open to working with almost any material, both fiction and nonfiction. However, I will not edit any work that advocates/endorses pedophilia, bullying of any type, or violence against any group.
