Cherie Kephart

Cherie Kephart is an award-winning author, editor, writing coach, and workshop facilitator. She is passionate about inspiring people on their wellness, transformation, and writing journeys.

Her debut book, A Few Minor Adjustments: A Memoir of Healing, takes the reader on a powerful and entertaining journey through her search for life-saving answers to a mysterious illness. Cherie has also written two companion books, The Healing 100 and Poetry of Peace.

Cherie is a staff workshop facilitator at the Southern California Writers Conference and has been a guest speaker at many of the California Writers Clubs. Her essays, stories, and poems have appeared in many publications and events including Shaking the Tree, A Year in Ink, and the Magee Park Poets Anthology, and has been featured twice in the San Diego Annual Memoir Showcase.

You’ll find Cherie near her home in San Diego walk-dancing on the beach, laughing for no reason, and meditating with her cat Jade, the true spiritual virtuoso. And you just may see her hugging a tree, or the occasional taco.

A Note from Cherie

Words are powerful. They can inspire, transform, heal, and transport us. But the writing process can feel daunting. That’s where I can help.

My passion is to inspire and guide you as you travel on your writing journey, helping you navigate the many challenges of being a writer.

I specialize in developmental editing and line editing, with expertise in the following areas:

  • Memoir
  • Narrative (creative) nonfiction
  • Nonfiction — especially personal stories, metaphysical, wellness, and self-help
  • Short Stories | Spoken Word | Poetry

If your work is outside of these genres, get in touch and let’s see how I can assist you.

Because great writing takes grit and vulnerability, I also offer coaching to support you on your journey. Together, we can breakthrough any challenges you have, while illuminating what you can’t see, to help you reach your goals.

If you have any questions or want to learn more about what I offer or how we can work together, please reach out. I look forward to connecting with you!
