Colin Steele

I serve authors with a full range of editorial services, from ghostwriting to proofreading, combined with coaching, consulting, and business skills.

Editorial and advisory work have formed the core of my career for the past decade, in which time I have helped build new initiatives at universities, prepared New York Times bestselling manuscripts, studied and taught marketing and business strategy with Seth Godin, played key roles in writing over $100MM worth of successful business-development proposals, helped small-business owners craft successful and authentic offers and strategies, and taught Margaret Atwood a little dance on Zoom.

With an academic background in international affairs, philosophy, and management, I work best with nonfiction authors writing about politics, culture, or business. With a unique blend of editorial and advisory skills, I enjoy working with authors on the whole process of bringing their work into the world — from developmental editing to marketing and business strategy.

I am also an avid home chef, and would be delighted to work on cookbooks or other writing devoted to food and cooking.
