I love polishing writing. I enjoy helping make a work clearer, stronger, better. Every manuscript needs an editor, and different kinds of editing depending on what stage it’s in, whether it’s developmental, copyediting, or that final proofread.
I love fiction, especially realistic young adult and historical fiction, and memoir. I love classic YA novels from the 1970s and 80s, and I wish more books like those were being written today. As someone with mild cerebral palsy, I know that everyone deserves to read books about characters like themselves, and I’d love to work with authors of books featuring diversity and disability. I can be a targeted beta reader/sensitivity reader for your manuscript featuring a character with cerebral palsy.
I have a degree in English and history from UC Davis and I’ve completed the Professional Sequence in Editing through UC Berkeley Extension.
