I am Daschell M. Hills, Founder and Editor of The Crowning Touch Editorial Services, LLC. I am a Chicago area-based writer and editor with over 20 years of experience. I have written for publications including Pensions & Investments, the Oakland Tribune, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Ebony.com, and I was the first African American Editor of the Hyde Park Herald.

 I obtained my bachelor’s degree in journalism from Norfolk State University and went on to obtain my master’s degree in New Media Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. I place a high value on education and consider myself a lifelong learner, so in addition to my university work I have earned a certificate in editing from ACES: The Society for Editing/Poynter Institute and a certificate in digital editing from ACES: The Society for Editing.
