David Iscoe is a versatile writer and ghostwriter with experience in fiction, nonfiction, comedy, and journalism. NON-FICTION: Worked with NYT bestselling authors on business books grounded in behavioral science. A quick learner, able to grasp concepts in a variety of fields and strategize with authors to make their insights narratively compelling.

COMEDY: Wrote and edited for years at The Onion, serving as senior writer in the video department, head writer and director of the GOOMF web-series, and a TV staff writer on The Onion SportsDome (Comedy Central). Also trained and experienced in sketch, stand-up, and improv comedy, and has coached students and taught classes in multiple fields.

COPYWRITING: Worked at Genius developing “Fact Tracks” for a collaborative project with Spotify, and at Penguin Random House writing book descriptions and author profiles. Wrote the syllabus and curriculum for the “New London Then & Now” class at Mitchell College, where he teaches writing. As a high-school educator, wrote curricula and lesson plans for courses on academic development, test prep, and computer programming.

JOURNALISM: Reported on local stories for Current Newspapers, a neighborhood weekly in Washington, D.C.
