Deanna Wendel
I specialize in academic editing, including essays, journal articles, book manuscripts, and dissertations, particularly within the humanities. I hold an M.A. in English Literature from Indiana University, and have six years of experience teaching college composition, including ESL writing classes taken by international students.
My enthusiasm for editing stems from my love of reading others’ projects and seeing the results of their research. I’m an excellent close reader who can offer comprehensive or developmental editing of manuscripts, or simply aid in polishing grammar, citations, and formatting in the later stages of proofreading. As a writing instructor who teaches argument and a published academic writer, I am prepared to comment on content, if desired.
