For over 25 years, I operated a brick and mortar bookstore with my husband and pursued editing as a sideline, accumulating experience across a range of publications, including journal articles, academic papers, corporate communications, course materials, and young adult science fiction and fantasy. After we closed the shop in late 2019, I became a full-time editor. The quiet, intense work suits me after such a long time in the public space, and editing enables me to continue my lifelong journey with the written word.
I’ve completed UC Berkeley’s certificate programs in professional editing and technical communication, and in 2020, I was accredited by the Editors’ Association of Canada as a Certified Copy Editor.
