A quality index is the result of experience and judgment, not just using the correct software.
I have been indexing since 1969, freelancing since 1971. I have indexed over 1,000 books and documents in almost all areas of knowledge for publishers, book packagers, authors, institutes, computer companies, non-profits, universities and the United Nations.
I have an academic background in statistics, social sciences and natural sciences. My computer experience goes back over 50 years, to 1958, when I built my first computer.
I served as coexecutive and held other offices in EFA. I served as the president of the New York City chapter of the American Society for Indexing for seven years and as on of EFA’s co-executives for two years.
