A freelancer since 2006, I have edited hundreds of manuscripts for independent authors, traditional publishers, and book packagers all over the United States. I specialize in line editing and copyediting nonfiction books–biography, education, history, how-to, memoir, self-help, and young adult titles in particular.
Past clients have praised my attention to detail, my insightful comments and suggestions, and my ability to clarify, tighten, and clean up the text. My consistently high-quality work has resulted in years of repeat business from several clients and requests to work on high-profile titles, including the New York Times best seller The Value of Debt. I am currently the sole copyeditor for Rowman & Littlefield’s YA nonfiction series It Happened to Me.
I am well versed in the Chicago Manual of Style and the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, and I am able to edit at the desired level in the requested time frame.
I have ghostwritten four nonfiction books and have five more in progress. I’m also a published author, having written six nonfiction children’s books for the school and library market and one informational text for high school athletes.
