In addition to my twenty years experience teaching college-level English, I have a Ph.D. in contemporary American fiction and poetry and an editing certificate from The University of Chicago. I will consider work in any field but have extensive background in the arts and humanities, education, and popular culture. I can work in fiction, narrative nonfiction, prescriptive nonfiction, academic book and journal articles, and magazine essays.
