Footnote Editorial

Over nearly two decades years in publishing, I have been privileged to work with New York Times bestselling authors such as Homer Hickam, Lisa Taddeo, and Damon DiMarco, Caldecott Honor recipient Laura Vaccaro Seeger, and Emmy Award winner Jeffrey Diamond. Before freelancing, I handled editorial development for a major New York literary agency, serving more than 200 clients worldwide. I’m also the author of a widely taught book about the evolution of gender roles and the editor of the Ghosts of Seattle Past anthology, which was a finalist for the WA State Book Award for nonfiction book of the year.

I specialize in literary fiction, young adult novels, and short story collections. I also enjoy editing women’s and gender studies, long-form journalism, interviews and essay collections, as well as cultural studies and LGBTQIA projects. As a published author with broad agency and editorial expertise, I can deliver both the empathy writers want and the critical eye they need. My mission is to enhance authors’ innate voices while never pummeling sentences for sport.
