I love the creative process of editing and collaborating with authors to perfect their books for publication. I’ve been a freelance book editor since 2003, and in 2011, I formed IndieGo Publishing to help authors publish their books independently with the added benefits of professional editing, clean formatting, beautiful design, and worldwide distribution coupled with effective book launch marketing initiatives and strategies. I’m also a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association, and my publishing model is directly in line with their requirements for indie-hybrid publishers — the best of traditional publishing on the front end of the process and indie/self publishing on the back end, with my guidance and project management throughout.
Each book I edit receives my fullest attention and best effort. I strive for excellence in all that I do, and I’m talented at solving big-picture problems such as plot holes and weak character development while line editing for grammar, punctuation, word usage, and sentence structure. I am naturally intuitive at understanding what the author is trying to say, and through my experience I’m able to help you rewrite sections of your book as needed while retaining your unique voice. Authors often tell me that my notes have sparked new ideas or helped them determine exactly how to improve troublesome sections of their books.
