I specialize in academic copyediting. I have a doctorate (in composition) and have done substantive editing and copyediting for theses, dissertations, peer-reviewed journal articles, and book chapters. My own articles have also been published in scholarly journals. I have additional experience as a university faculty member, instructional technology fellow, and in writing pedagogy.
I have edited dissertations and articles on topics in education, sociology, urban geography, film and literary theory, psychology, theology/politics, law, music (education, theory, history), ethnomusicology, and jazz. The entire dissertation editing process can take place online, and I am very prompt with communications. I use a sliding scale of hourly rates so that clients can pay what fits their budget.
