With 20-plus years of experience and professional training in fiction and nonfiction editing, I provide top-notch copyediting, proofreading, and developmental editing to authors and publishers across the country. I am the author of the award-winning book Perfect Bound: How to Navigate the Book Publishing Process Like a Pro and the booklet Freelancing as a Business: 7 Steps to Take Before Launch Day. I have been involved in the publishing industry since 1999, including seven years as an in-house production editor. In 2006 I started POP Editorial Services, LLC.
My specialties include business, self-help, mystery/thrillers, historical fiction, soft sci-fi, and memoirs. I am an active member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, the Independent Book Publishers Association, and past president of the Montgomery County chapter of the Maryland Writers’ Association.
