Kenneth Chan
I’m a freelance proofreader and editor, who’s interested in working on a wide range of writing projects, from academic prose to business and corporate communications and web content. I have a Ph.D. degree in English from the University of Florida. Having recently retired from academia (I’m now Professor Emeritus of English and Film Studies at the University of Northern Colorado), I have accrued approximately thirty years of experience teaching writing, conducting research, and publishing in my areas of expertise. My scholarly publications include four books (two single authored and another two I coedited) and numerous essays and conference papers. I was also the managing editor of The CEA Critic journal, and have been asked to peer-review many scholarly essays and manuscripts for various prestigious academic journals and presses.
