I’m an experienced writer and editor with almost 25 years of experience and a master’s degree in communications. Having a writing background myself, I’m not only an expert when it comes to the mechanics of writing (grammar, punctuation, usage, style), but I also have great instincts for the nuances of writing. Not only do I know all the rules, but I also know when to break them.
I have extensive experience editing everything from scholarly articles, online content, reported news articles and features, personal essays, white papers, corporate communications, marketing materials, and professional reports to children’s books and full-length manuscripts (including fiction, nonfiction, and creative nonfiction ).
When it comes to helping your writing be the best it can be, I do so by paying close attention to each word and how it fits with the bigger piece, while always retaining each author’s unique voice. Other talents I have are distilling complicated concepts into easy-to-understand communications, reducing word count while maintaining the essence of the writing, editing rhyming content, and helping writers become better at their craft. I’m also highly experienced at (and enjoy) editing citations.
