Leslie holds an MA in English Literature and an MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University. As a twenty-year memoir expert, she edits with a keen eye for grammar and usage details as well as for genre, voice, and style. She also specializes in literary, YA, and women’s fiction as a developmental editor, content editor, and line editor. Leslie taught high school English and college writing for two decades before moving to San Diego to pursue a career as an author and editor. Her memoir, When I Was Her Daughter is the winner of 12 awards, including the Readers’ Favorite Gold Medal for Memoir, the Memoir Prize for Books, and the PenCraft Book Award.
