Lisa Kaitz

Lisa Kaitz Editorial Services

After exercising my left brain for many years in business, I finally discovered an outlet for my language skills beyond noticing typos in ads. I’ve taken those analytical and organizational skills and seamlessly applied them to copyediting.

On my business card, I included a saying that thrilled me when I read it, because it’s the essence of what I do: “You write to communicate to the hearts and minds of others what’s burning inside you. And we edit to let the fire show through the smoke.”

I’ve worked on full-length fiction in most literary genres and thousands of news and lifestyle articles, as well as a couple of apps. My work experience is diverse because I’m not afraid to delve into new territory, and I’m curious about everything. I’m a real fixer, taking comfort in the rules laid out in a standard style guide or dictionary, yet I’m flexible enough to get behind a serial comma or kick it to the curb.

I have the utmost respect for writers and treat every project with care. There’s only one thing more satisfying than digging into a good story—being part of a team that makes it even better. I believe in the importance of humor, but I take my work seriously; it’s my passion.

Feel free to peruse my website for more about my services (and me). I look forward to hearing from you!
