LoFlo Proofing

Hi! My name is Lo (They/Them) and I’m a freelance proofreader based in Fort Collins, CO! I attended Colorado State University for one year under both Ecosystem Science and Creative Writing Majors, but ultimately decided it was in my best interest to pursue a career without a degree. Outside of CSU, I’ve undergone extensive proofreading training via both Caitlin Pyle’s Proofread Anywhere course and Project Gutenberg. I am well-versed in MLA, AP, and CMoS style guides. My experience lies primarily in academic essays and creative works!

For nonfiction pieces, such as articles, essays, or books, the subject matters I do best with are:

  • Natural Sciences.
  • Arts/Animation.
  • Film.
  • Cooking.
  • Horticulture.
  • Mycology.
  • Gaming.
  • Music.
  • Mental Health.
  • Gender/Sexuality.

As for fiction, I’m willing to work with just about anything! However, I work better when a piece can keep my interest, so my favorite genres are:

  • Sci-Fi.
  • Fantasy.
  • Slice of life.
  • Romance (especially queer).

I have no preference between drama and comedy for any of the aforementioned genres.

I’m looking forward to gaining more experience in the industry and I’d love to branch out into more editorial forms in the future! Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile 🙂
