As an Alberta, Canada based ESL specialist working as a freelance editor, proofreader, and writer, I am passionate about language, literature, culture, and travel. My specializations are non-fiction (travel, memoir, auto/biography, how-to), business communication (technical manuals and guides), and writing by ESL and EFL professionals and students.
In the past 29 years I have worked extensively with people from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I started my career by teaching adult ESL in Japan for 3 years and Calgary for 8 years. My teaching background also includes 16 years of instructional design (writing, designing, and editing online high school and professional development courses) and teaching online high school English Language Arts, Social Studies, and options.
I have edited a variety of texts over the years including high beginner to advanced ESL student personal, business, and academic writing.
