Lynn Nikkanen
Academic copy-editor and self-confessed perfectionist when it comes to accuracy, clarity, consistency, and style. Former ELT textbook author and EFL educator, with master’s degrees in TESOL and Publishing Studies. Over 20 years’ experience in copy-editing and 25 years’ experience in English language training and educational publishing. I’ve performed substantive editing, copy-editing and proofreading on documents including research proposals, doctoral dissertations, books and book chapters, journal articles, briefing papers, analyses and reports, on subjects as diverse as political science, military science, crisis management, applied linguistics, HR, management and organizational studies, museology, marketing, the social sciences, and youth research. British by birth, but comfortable and conversant with both UK and US writing conventions and citation styles. Particular expertise working with writers whose first language is not English.
