Hi there, I’m Marcella, an editor and writer based in San Diego, CA.

​​I copyedit and proofread memoirs, as well as business, healthcare, and academic topics. I also do authenticity (a.k.a. sensitivity) reading for Latina characters and topics related to the Latinx community.

​​Most recently, I’ve ventured into writing. Stay tuned for the launch of my children’s book and the start of my blog that will be a mix of editorial topics and my personal experience in this space.

I volunteer with the EFA and serve as a co-coordinator of the Diversity, Equity, and Belonging’s Welcome Program, which pairs underrepresented editors with more experienced editors in the organization to help them build community and navigate editing with ease.

All my work is to help cultivate authentic expression in the world, and it’s exciting to dig in and contribute to this mission.
