Mark Schaefer (he/him) joined the EFA as membership coordinator in 2023. Mark is an EFA member and a freelance editor operating Schaefer Wordsmithing in Upstate New York. Mark has previously served as the membership coordinator for the Linguistic Society of America in Washington, D.C., and has career and academic backgrounds in law, theology, Russian language, and linguistics.
Mark has edited works ranging from short academic essays to novels to memoirs, in areas as diverse as horror, Biblical theology, politics, religion, and science fiction.
