My job as your editor is to get to the heart of your writing and help you communicate your ideas as clearly, effectively, and accurately as possible. My specialty is short-form academic and other nonfiction work, including journal articles, grant proposals, book chapters, reports, news releases, professional communications, newsletters, and the like. I offer line editing (aka, substantive editing), copyediting, and proofreading services and can also work with you to hone the focus and define the scope of your work and develop a workable project schedule.
During my 30 years of experience in publishing and editing, including nearly 2 decades as managing editor of a top-25 health science research journal, I have worked with a diverse array of clients, including those for whom English is their first language and those for whom it is not, academic researchers in the health, biological, and social sciences; not-for-profit and grassroots community organizations; Internet marketing firms; university presses; and commercial publishers.
