I provide substantive editing (content and organization) and copy editing (grammar and wording), with a focus on the biological and social sciences. My specialties include editing academic journal articles and working with non-native English speakers. I am a detail-oriented person with a creative streak and 16 years of experience in editing of all sorts. I aim to make sure that what the writer is trying to say comes through clearly to the intended audience.

I will make sure that your points are clear and understandable, fix any grammatical errors, help you eliminate unnecessary jargon, remove redundancies, and ensure consistency throughout the manuscript. I can also format the abstract, text, references, tables, and figure legends to conform to a journal’s instructions.
Non-native speakers writing in English: Much of my work has focused on editing articles by non-native English speakers who are hoping to publish in English-language journals. If writing in English is not one of your strengths, I can improve your manuscript before you submit it for publication and greatly increase your chances of acceptance.
