Nicasio Andres Reed
I’m a writing, editing, and client support professional with more than a decade of experience in cultural consultation, creative writing, developmental editing, line editing, and editing works in translation. I’ve been an in-house editor polishing raw translations of Japanese light novels and Chinese danmei novels for publication in English, a freelance sensitivity reader for award-nominated science fiction, horror, and fantasy novels, and a technical writer for a massively multiplayer online game. No project is too nerdy or off-kilter for me, and I’m as comfortable with ground-up developmental editing as I am with in-the-trenches line editing.
For sensitivity reads and cultural consultations, I accept work that includes characters and themes related to the Philippines, Filipino-American experiences and history, queer men in general, and transgender men in particular.
