Nicole Arch

Arch Editorial

I received my B.A. in English and Comparative Literature from UNC Chapel Hill, where I studied Writing, Editing, and Digital Publishing and completed an Honors Thesis in Fiction Writing. After honing my skills through editorial positions with various publishing houses and literary magazines, I now work full time as a freelance editor, striving to amplify unique voices in literature with consistency and clarity.

I specialize in content editing/developmental editing and line editing for fiction, but I offer a wide range of services, including proofreading, copyediting, beta reading, editorial assessments/manuscript evaluation, query and synopsis edits, and brainstorming consultations, all of which you can read more about on my website. And if you don’t see what you’re looking for, I’m more than happy to discuss creating a custom service offering to fit your unique needs.

I primarily work with a variety of fiction novels, including literary fiction, fantasy, romance, women’s fiction, sci-fi, historical fiction, mystery, suspense, and horror. However, I also enjoy poetry, short stories, creative nonfiction (including memoirs and essays), and some technical nonfiction projects, and I am open to select jobs in these areas.

I love collaborating with new and seasoned authors alike and am always happy to answer questions, so please don’t hesitate to reach out!
