Noelle Wells

Hi! I’m Noelle. I’ve been writing for over half my life and am currently freelancing as a ghostwriter and editor. I’ve written books and short stories in the horror, cozy mystery, romance (both historical and paranormal), and fantasy genres, both as a ghostwriter and for my own enjoyment. I adore all things horror and fantasy but will devour books from all genres (which has resulted in an ever-expanding book collection, so I’m always in desperate need of new shelf space). My eclectic background ranges from a masters in archaeology from Yale to managing an escape room to scenic painting. You’d be surprised how often those experiences come in handy while critiquing!

I’m also being mentored by a twelve-time #1 best-selling ghostwriter and editor who has taught me how to provide constructive and helpful feedback. I’ve edited my own manuscripts for years and have paid for professional critiques from authors and agents in the past, so I know what a good critique looks like and what information is most useful. When giving feedback, I like to be to the point and encouraging. If something sounds awkward, I’ll bring your attention to it. I tend to ask questions and provide suggestions for improvements while also pointing out the things I like that make me smile or laugh.

I love helping other writers achieve their goals, and that’s my aim here. Ultimately, I want to help you develop the best manuscript possible, and I’m here for whatever type of help you need–whether it’s an in-depth developmental edit or a short beta reading. I’m quick to respond to messages, so you won’t need to wait long to hear back from me. Please get in touch with me with any questions, and I’ll happily answer.
