Patrice Campbell Sherman
I am a freelance writer specializing in K12 fiction and nonfiction. I have written several social studies books on a variety of topics for Chelsea House, Capstone, Benchmark Books, and Mitchell Lane, Inc In addition I have produced biographies of historical figures for EBSCO, a publisher of online reference materials for high school and college students and have contributed many articles on history, science, and nature to FYI Answers, a series of popular reference books issued by Publications International of Chicago. I have also written assessment materials for grades 6-12 in ELA and social studies for Brainworx Studio and Agate Publishers, both subcontractors of Houghton Mifflin
In my previous career as a professional archivist I worked for several academic institutions including Harvard University, Boston University, and the National Library of Medicine. I specialize in photo-research and copyright permissions and am always ready to help publishers and authors in those areas.
