Richelle Braswell

Richelle Braswell Comprehensive Editing

Want to ensure readers are fully immersed in your story? I’m a fiction book editor who helps independent authors coax their novel to a place where it will shine. I am also the coordinator for the EFA’s North Texas chapter and a member of ACES: The Society for Editing.

I specialize in fantasy and cozy mystery for young adult, new adult, and adult audiences.

As a knowledgeable reader and editor of these genres, I believe words are woven with magic. You, the author, breathe life into those words to create a story. I shape your story and guide it to what you imagine it to be. Whether you’re stuck inside your story, falling through plot holes, distracted by inconsistencies, or confounded by grammar rules, I’ll step into your world and provide you with the distance needed to properly edit your work.

RBC Editing has core values of friendly honesty and consistency. I work with my clients throughout the entire editing process, rather than a single step, to save you the time you’d spend looking for a new editor at each new editing stage. I strive to develop a strong relationship that invites more open dialogue and candid feedback so you feel comfortable trusting me with your project. This relationship invites more open dialogue and candid feedback to enhance your story. My constructive and instructive comments help you learn and grow as a writer while we work to bring your literary world to life.

“Richelle was amazingly professional and thorough every step of the way! The style sheets were excellent and detailed. She gave encouraging feedback, and her edits elevated the story to a new level and helped me find my voice as an author. She understood what I was trying to achieve with my story, and she understood the genre so well.” — Z.B. Lee, author
