I am a highly skilled and experienced freelance editor, specializing in developmental, line, and copy editing. With over 20 years of dedicated service in the field, my portfolio includes a wide range of projects, from academic papers and articles to monographs and books, both fiction and nonfiction. I have a Ph.D. in Classics and have published several articles and two books of my own. I have a passion for words and have honed my craft by working with a diverse range of authors, from aspiring writers to seasoned academics.
As a developmental editor, I work closely with an author to understand their own vision and offer constructive feedback to shape and strengthen their narrative. My expertise in line editing focuses on improving the flow of sentences and paragraphs, enhancing readability, and eliminating inconsistencies. In copy editing, I work meticulously to correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting to produce polished and error-free manuscripts. I am also an experienced translator from Danish to English, and have successfully translated books and established and continue to edit blogs in English for Danish authors.
