I’ve been a freelance editor since 2011 and have experience working with a wide range of genres and types of editing, including developmental editing, substantive editing, line editing, copyediting, proofreading, permissions editing, author coaching, sensitivity reading, and project editing.
I specialize in nonfiction, particularly history and true crime, though I also work with fiction, especially historical fiction, crime fiction, and mysteries.
I also have over 10 years’ experience working in a public library and a background in teaching college-level composition and tutoring writing.
My academic background includes a B.A. in English and history and a M.A. in English (emphasis in Southern Gothic Literature).
