FICTION AND NONFICTION EDITING THAT YOU CAN TRUST

Hi! Are you looking for a thorough copyedit that will help polish your writing while maintaining your authorial voice and preserving your story? Are you looking for a meticulous quality check that will help provide your readers with an optimal reading experience? Whether you need experienced language editing or just an expert eye to proofread your manuscript, I can help.

Having someone else edit something you have created with care and effort can be an overwhelming and emotional process. I want to make this process comfortable and easy for you. Being a published writer myself, and an editor for the last fourteen years, I have the experience and compassion to understand what my writers need from me. As an author, you want someone with skill and experience, knowledge and sensitivity, and an understanding of the world of publishing. With my experience of working on over 300 books, I can provide you with all of those things and assure you that your book is in safe hands.

WHAT MY CLIENTS SAY

“Sohini is the best editor you can hope for. She poured her heart and soul into my project. I strongly feel she helped me maximize the potential of my manuscript and improve my writing skills. Sohini’s observations and suggestions about clarity of details helped make my newest novel, Keyhole Saw.” –Kalina Panayotova

“Sohini did an incredible job! She caught even the most minuscule mistakes and made suggestions to improve the flow of sentences as well. As an editor and proofreader myself, I came into this process with pretty high expectations, and Sohini exceeded them. Thanks for the great work!” — Sarah Singer

“Sohini is an exceptional editor. She is meticulous and thoughtful and always open to listen and serves the story above all else. Her feedback has helped shape my stories into their best version. I would highly recommend her.” — Maymunah Zainab

MORE ABOUT ME

I love being a global editor and have had the pleasure of living and editing in three countries. After my Master’s in English, I spent the first six years of my career at Seagull Books and Cambridge University Press. I also taught editing at the Seagull School of Publishing. Later, I worked as an independent editor with indie authors and publishers like Bloomsbury, Grove Atlantic, Macmillan, MIT Press, Ohio University Press, among others. I currently live in Canada. When I’m not editing, I create digital collages and had my first art exhibition in May 2021 in New York.
