Yui Suzuki
Yui Suzuki is a freelance developmental editor for academic authors. Her subject areas include art history and related fields in the arts and humanities, particularly in Japanese studies, East Asian studies, Buddhist studies, Contemplative Pedagogy, and Mindfulness in Higher Education.
Besides her work as a developmental editor, Yui is a regular lecturer for the Smithsonian Associates World Art History certificate program. Yui holds a BA in Religion and Philosophy and MA in Asian Studies from Sophia University, in Tokyo, Japan. She earned a PhD in Art History from the University of California, Los Angeles. She was Associate Professor in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at the University of Maryland, where she taught from 2006-2017 and she remains a distinguished affiliate of the university.
