Important Information About Our Recorded Webinars

After placing your order, your recorded webinar will be added to your personal course library on our education site. That site has different login information from the main EFA site. Please check your email for information on how to access the webinar.

Webinar recordings may not be downloaded, and access ends five years after the recording date. Please check the webinar air date at the bottom of this listing to know how long you will have access to the recording.

Does the word networking make you cringe? Fall asleep? Hide under the bed? In this webinar, you’ll learn what’s at the heart of networking and how to network in a way that is both natural and effective. You’ll leave this webinar with an action plan for today and for each quarter going forward, one that can be revisited and redeployed as you grow your professional network.

Brittany Dowdle is a book editor focusing on copyediting and developmental editing, with an emphasis on science fiction, historical fiction, romance, and mystery/crime. She is the owner of Word Cat Editorial Services and believes that the best editing combines balance and deliberation, passion and purpose. Brittany is the co-director of the EFA’s Diversity Initiative Welcome Program.

Linda Ruggeri is a freelance nonfiction editor specialized in memoir (historical, family, medical, professional, travel, cultural). Linda has worked with traditional publishers, self-published authors, and is skilled in all aspects of the publishing process. She is the co-author of Stepping into Rural Wisconsin, co-coordinator of the EFA-LA Chapter, co-director of the EFA’s Welcome Program, and a serial Instagrammer. Based out of Los Angeles, Linda holds a Communication and Fine Arts Degree from Loyola Marymount University and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian. When she’s not editing, Linda is reading, tending to her vegetable garden, teaching her son to bake, and mentoring new writers and editors.

This webinar originally aired on June 10, 2020.
